Papier mâché

These hangers are last christmas presents which I made on my own. Tinkered stuff seems to be so lovely (and better than anything bought just to have a christmas present) so I try do made things by myself as often as I can. The things I tinker should be usefull and not expensive. One example: clothes hangers.

1. Paint some newsprint in colours which fit together. I used green/blue/grey and pink/violet/grey. You have to mix the paint with a lot of water so the letters on the newspaper are still visible.

2. Drag the newsprint in little pieces and stick it with paste on a wooden, non-treated hanger. After drying, spray a little bit varnish over it.

Unfortunatly I forgot to made some for myself but that doesn't matter 'cause it's very easy, cheap, not a big effort and so much fun!
